Couples appreciation day.
We are celebrating our fourth Valentine’s Day this year.
For those of you who are bitter this time of year. I guess I can see why.
But don’t give any of us grief for having an established day to celebrate our relationship. We celebrate our love everyday, but Valentine’s Day is the day we can be mushy in public without offending hundreds of people.
And if you want to be pathetic and wear black and protest and say this day was meant to make single people feel alone… fine. Be little bitches.
But I don’t wear t-shirts that say “My Mother Died” when you’re having Sunday brunch with your mothers on Mother’s Day.
So smile and pretend to be happy for all your friends who are having a romantic date out there on Valentine’s Day. And keep your bitter remarks to yourself.
